Fitzgerald's 5K Lager Run & The Nipper Two Kilometer Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The Fitzgerald’s Lager Run 5K and The Nipper 2K are open to runners, joggers, strollers, & walkers and benefits the Glen Ridge Community Fund.

💵 Registration Fees

• 5K Fee: $35.00 inclusive of the RSU fee with a 10% USATF-NJ discount. Increasing to $40.00 beginning 12:00AM on April 9, 2025, then $45.00 on June 1.
• Nipper 2K Fee: $25.00 inclusive of the RSU fee. Increasing to $30 on May 29, 2025 at 12:00 AM.
• Both Races: $60.00 inclusive of the RSU fee. Increasing to $70 on April 9, 2025 at 12:00 AM.

🏞️ Course Details

• 5K Course: The Lager Run 5K Course is a USATF Certified, NET DOWN HILL route along the beautiful tree-lined, gas-lit streets of Glen Ridge, N.J. with a fast track finish.
• Championship Status: The race is also the USATF-NJ Masters Women’s 5K Championship but the event is open to all runners and walkers.
• Price After 6/6/24: $40 prior to 6/6/24: $50 after.
• Discount: 10% discount for USATF NJ members prior to 6/6/24.

🏁 Nipper 2K Information

• New Course: The Nipper 2K is a fast net down hill course with a fast Hurrell Field track finish.
• Certification: USATF Certified: $30, no increase in price.

🎽 Participant Perks

• Commemorative Singlets: New Balance singlets or a limited supply of cotton T’s to all registrants.
• Pint Glasses: Top 100 M&F pint glass for the 5K.
• Medals: Medals to the first 180 finishers of The Nipper 2K.

🍺 Post-Race Libations

Fitzgerald’s Lager Run Update: The State of NJ’s ABC requires us to issue wristbands to participants who wish to enjoy a post-race adult (alcohol) beverage. Participants can obtain their wristbands after picking up their bib at the Hoboken beer distribution tent, which is located near the baseball back-stop. This can be done before or after the race. Fitzgerald’s volunteers will check IDs to ensure participants are of legal age to consume adult beverages. (No bib, no ID, no wristband). This additional step is mandated by the State of NJ-ABC.
