The YMCA of Metro North and the Torigian Family YMCA are excited to host our annual Livestrong at the Y 5K & Half Marathon this Fall. This inspiring road race benefits Livestrong at the Y, a 12-week program that helps cancer survivors regain strength, balance, and confidence after treatment.
Participants can choose from three event options:
Whether you're a seasoned runner or new to the sport, there's something for everyone! Runners and walkers alike can enjoy a morning of community and support by signing up for the family-friendly 5K, or challenge themselves with the longer Half Marathon options.
New this year: Half Marathon – Two Person Relay!
In this team option, one runner starts at the official starting line and runs the first half of the course. The second runner drives to the designated halfway point (located within a neighborhood), parks, and waits to be tagged in. Once the first runner arrives and hands off, they drive back to the finish line to reunite and celebrate with their teammate at the end of the race.
Each relay team will be given their assigned bib number to be worn on a provided bib belt. The bib belt is passed between runners at the exchange zone and is used to receive official timing.
Registration includes post-race refreshments. Age-specific awards are available for 5K participants only.

The YMCA of Metro North Road Race Series raises funds for a variety of charitable activities that benefit our community. Participants in our four unique 5K races run or walk to support the YMCA of Metro North Annual Fund and raise money to provide access to YMCA child care, camp, and health and wellness programs to everyone. In 2024 the YMCA of Metro North provided more than $2.4 million in financial aid providing all children, adults and families with opportunities to develop a healthy spirit, mind and body regardless of income.
