IRONDOG 5K

Join us on Saturday, March 21st - 2026 for our 12th annual event. The IRONDOG Fund was created to support the medical and surgical care of animals hospitalized at the MSU Veterinary Medical Center. The IRONDOG 5K is our largest annual fundraiser.

Course Details

• Course Type: Flat, fast, and fun through the campus of MSU.
• Dog Policy: Dogs are welcome with walkers, they must be leashed.
• Start Position: We ask that you start at the back of the start line area.

Pricing

• Standard Pricing: $30 until 3/13 with a t-shirt guaranteed.
• Late Registration: $35 from 3/14 to 3/20, limited shirts available.
• Race Day Price: $40, shirts while supplies last.
• T-shirt Guarantee: Register by 3/13 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Awards

• Overall Awards: Male and female winners, plus overall master (age 40+) male and female.
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 in each age category.

Packet Pickup

• Early Packet Pickup: Will be held at Playmakers (2299 W Grand River Ave, Okemos, MI 48864) 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, March 20th.
• Race Day Pickup: Starts at 7:30-8:50 AM at the race site.

Virtual Option

• Participation: If you are unable to join us in person, we are offering a virtual event.
• Pricing: $35 until 3/13 with a t-shirt guaranteed: $40 from 3/14 to 3/21, limited shirts available.
• Shipping: Price includes shipping.
• Results: You can enter your results, however, virtual participants are not eligible for awards.

Timing Information

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live during the race.
