🎉 Packet Pickup

Date: A Tuesday, December 30th packet pickup has been added to this event based on the number of participants that are signed up.
Location: Packet pickup will be at the Bandstand at Rehoboth Avenue & the Boards from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Recommendation: Please make an attempt to come pick up your t-shirt & bib which will make race morning flow much easier & quicker.
Note: If you are driving in on race morning, we totally understand, but keep in mind that you should give yourself extra time on race morning. Please do not show up after 11:30 AM as we will be moving from race day registration to the race day kid's dash & 5k start.

🏁 Race Description

Join the Seashore Striders to close out the year with a 5k out and back course beginning on the boardwalk and running north to the turn-a-round at Gordon's Pond, Cape Henlopen State Park.

🏃 Kids Fun Run

Participants: 9 & under kids 1/4 mile fun run is free with no registration required and no t-shirt.
Time: At 11:50 AM the kids will race 200m north on the boardwalk and 200m south to the finish line as the 5k runners gather by the finish and cheer on the young runners.

Race Time: Kids Dash @ 11:50 AM and 5k at noon.

📝 Race Registration

Early Registration: $25.00 through December 1st at 6:00 PM.
Pre-Registration: $30.00 through December 30th at 11:59 PM.
Late Registration: $35.00 on Race Day from 12:00 AM - 11:50 AM.

🗺️ Race Course

3.11 mile out & back course from the Boardwalk at Rehoboth Avenue to the entrance to Cape Henlopen State Park at Gordon's Pond.

⚠️ Course Etiquette

Requirements: All participants are required to run on the course that is marked with arrows and cones and complete the full course.
Stay Safe: Please stay on the road where it is marked and police are stationed.
Restrictions: Do not race on the sidewalk, run through private property, or run on the opposite side of the road. Failure to follow these race instructions could result in a disqualification from the event.

⛔ Seashore Strider Course Guidelines

Bikes: Not allowed to be on the course riding along/pacing any registered runner.
Bandits: Non-registered runners are not allowed to be in the race.
Headphones: Discouraged in both ears due to safety of hearing traffic. Please only wear in one ear and at a low volume level if necessary.

⏱️ Race Timing

Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack chip timing system.

🎽 Race Amenities

Long Sleeve 100% Pre-Shrunk Cotton Race shirts guaranteed to all PRE-Registered participants by 12/23/25. Refreshments, bagels when available from Surf Bagel.

🏆 Awards

Overall Male & Female, Master Male & Female, and top 3 finishers in 5 year age groups from 9 & U to 80 & O.

🚗 Race Parking

Parking will be on Rehoboth Avenue for this event and meters are not in effect.

💰 Refunds/Deferral

The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, however we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options:

Transfer: To a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year.
Donation: Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program.
Defer: Transfer/Deferral to the following year at the same event.
