Run Like A Girl 5K

Event Overview

Louisiana Tech University's Society of Women Engineers chapter is excited to host our eighth annual Run Like a Girl 5k on March 21st, 2026. All proceeds from this event will be donated to 4 PAWS Rescue, USA, in an effort to support the animal shelter in our local area.

Goals and Add-Ons

• Previous Success: We met our goal last year to raise at least $2,000 for 4 PAWS Rescue.
• Aim: We would like to match that goal this year.
• Dog Walking Option: Participants can walk with a dog from the Rescue during the 5K for $5.
• Bring Your Own Dog: Feel free to come walk with your own dog: water bowls will be available throughout the race.

Race Details

• Start/End Location: The 5k will begin and end at IESB (Integrated Engineering and Science Building) on Louisiana Tech's campus.
• Timing: Each participant who does the run/walk route will receive an official final time from a timing chip.
• Awards: Commemorative medals will be awarded, and additional medals for the winners of the male runner and female runner in each age division.
• Packet Pickup: Race packet pickup will be held on the morning of the race at 8:00 AM at the IESB Amphitheater.

Race Timing

Race times will begin at 8:30 AM on March 21st, 2026.
