Run, walk, or roll along a 5k for fair housing. It’s more than just a race—it’s a powerful journey through the past with a chance to win amazing prizes and champion housing justice. This is a part of a series of events that will take place in 2025 to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Fair Housing Contact Service and their dedication to housing justice.

🚗 Parking Information

• Location: Reach Opportunity Center - 390 W Crosier St, Akron, OH 44311.
• Shuttles: Available to take you to the starting line.
• Warmup: You can run/walk to the other side of the lake.

📅 Event Details

• Date: April 26, 2025
• Free Entry: Special pricing for those 9 & under is free!
• Group Discount: 6 or more participants saves $50!

🕒 Schedule

• April 24, 2025: 4:00-6:30 pm - Pre-Packet Packet Pick Up
• April 26, 2025: 6:30 am - Registration / Packet Pick Up
• 8:00 am: 1 Mile Fun Run Start - children and adults can walk, run, or roll for one mile of the path
• 8:30 am: 5k Start
• 9:30 am: Awards, Snacks, Coffee, & Music

🏆 Awards

• 5k: Top 1 overall separated by gender (female, male, and non-binary).
• Age Groups: Top 1 in each age group separated by gender (female, male, and non-binary) in 9 and under, 10-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70+.
• 1 Mile: Top 1 overall separated by gender (female, male, and non-binary).
• Age Groups: Top 1 in each age group separated by gender (female, male, and non-binary) in 9 and under, 10-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70+.
