4th Annual Pints And Paws 5K and 1 Mile Run Walk and Pup Strut

🏃‍♂️ Race Day Registration

• Time: On-site Race Day Registration starts at 7 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025.

⏳ Online Registration Deadline

• Closes: Midnight Thursday, August 28th at Midnight.

🏞️ Event Overview

• Event Type: A 5K running and walking event with 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut co-sponsored by Colonial Sports.
• Location: 2070 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23185 (The Meadow area across from the Jamestown Settlement parking lot).

🎒 Packet Pickup

• Details: There will be NO early packet pickup. Packet Pickup will be RACE Day ONLY starting at 7:00 AM.
• Location: In the entrance to the field across from the parking area.

🐾 Bring An Item for Rescue

• Door Prize: Bring an item for the rescue to receive an additional door prize ticket.
• Items: NEW items only: dog/cat food (dry or wet), treats, toys, litter, pee pads, gift cards (Petco, Care-A-Lot, Chewy, Amazon).

⚠️ Dog Safety Measures

• Heat Consideration: Please consider the heat and your dog’s ability to manage the temperature and running on asphalt.
• Water Availability: Water for the dogs will be available at the start/finish.

🐕 Dog Participation Rules

• Participation: Dogs are permitted in all events when accompanied by a registered runner/walker.
• Leash Requirement: Dogs must be in a harness/collar and on a leash or suitable lead. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

⚠️ Canine Awards Note

• Change: Due to high temperatures, there will not be canine awards in the 5K this year.
• Participation: Dogs are welcome but there will be no medals available for the canine category this year.

🕗 Event Start Times

• 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut: Starts at 8:00 am on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
• 5K Start: 8:30 AM on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

📸 Pup Photo Contest

• Details: Pup Photo Contest after the 1 Mile and 5K have finished.
• Entry Fee: $5 and open to anyone onsite with a pet.
• Categories: Best Dressed Pet, Best Pet/Owner Look Alike, Cutest Pet Smile, Best Large Breed, Best Small Breed.
• Winners: Each winner will receive a prize!

🛍️ Vendor Fair

• Details: There will be a vendor fair on site with animal-friendly and community service vendors for your enjoyment.
• Time: Between 8 am and noon.

👕 Participant T-shirts

• Deadline: All participants who register by August 22, 2025 are guaranteed a race t-shirt.
• Medal: A die cast finishers medal will be available to the first 200 finishers.

🍕 Included Perks

• Food: (1) Beer and (1 slice) Pizza included in registration.
• Alternatives: Non-drinkers and underage participants will receive a non-alcoholic beverage.

🅿️ Parking Information

• Location: Parking is in the Jamestown Foundation Settlement parking lot.

🏆 Awards Overview

• Human Awards 5K Run/Walk: Top three male and female overall and by age category.
• Walk Awards: 1st -5th place for male and female in the 5K Competitive Walk.
• 1 Mile Event: The 1 Mile Fun Run and Pup Strut will be an untimed event.
