Monitor Merrimac District of the Colonial Virginia Council - Scouting America Scout Strong 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Organization: The Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) - Colonial Virginia Council provides a well-rounded program that promotes physical, mental, and emotional development while fostering a lifelong love of learning and adventure.
• Participants: We currently serve around 2,000 youth and your support will help us expose more families about Scouting.
• Event Details: Lace up your running shoes and run or walk with for Scouting America. The Monitor Merrimac District of the Colonial Virginia Council is hosting our second annual Scout Strong 5K.
• Inclusive Activity: You do not have to be a runner to participate. This event provides a great opportunity for Scouts, friends and families to get outdoors and walk or run the 5k to support Scouting and your own health!

👕 Registration Information

• T-Shirt Deadline: In order to receive a race t-shirt, complete registration by July 25th. You are not guaranteed a shirt after the deadline.
• Check-in: Check-in is the day of the race from 7-7:45am. Join the race and lets get active!
• Proceeds: All proceeds benefit the Colonial Virginia Council - Scouting America.

• Overall Winners: Male and Female Top 3 Overall
• Age Group Awards: Male and Female Top 3 in Age Group: (12 & Under, 13-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over)

🕒 Important Times

• 6:45 am: Park Gates Open
• 7:00 am: Check-in/Registration
• 8:00 am: Race Start
• 9:30 am: Awards and Celebration

• Early Race Packet Pickup: Friday, August 22, 2025, from 10 am - 1 pm at Colonial Virginia Council - Scouting America, 11834 Canon Blvd Suite L, Newport News, VA 23606.
