Race Overview
Tired of Road races? Want to mix it up and run a cross-country race? Woodside High School is hosting a community-open cross-country race at its home course in Newport News Park on September 12th. This event is a Fundraiser for the Woodside High Cross Country Program.
Course Details
- Distance: 5000M course located in Newport News Park near the Newport News Park Horse Arena.
- Surface: The course has grass, gravel, and a paved road. Cross-country spikes can be worn.
- Check-in: Check-in starts at 7:00 AM. Each runner will receive a non-returnable chip-encoded bib.
- Race Start: The race starts promptly at 7:30 AM. Make sure to bring water for yourself and your runners.
Location and Parking
- Address: 706-730 Old Stable Road, Newport News, VA.
- Directions: Exit 250-B off of I-64 and follow the signs to Newport News Park. Park near the Newport News Disc Golf Course and walk toward the Horse Arena.
- Spectator Parking: There is parking off Old Stable Road along Fort Eustis Boulevard.
- Alternative Parking: Spectators can park in designated parking areas in Newport News Park accessible from the main park entrance at 13560 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, VA 23603.
