Join Yooper Running Company on Sunday, August 31, the day before the world-famous Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk. Run before Walk 5K (RB4W) takes place along one of the most gorgeous, stunning, and little-known views of the Mackinac Bridge at 9:00am.

🔖 Entry Limitations

• Limit: There is a limit of 150 entries for this unique event.
• Registration: Online registration will be available until 11:59pm on August 30, or until the maximum of 150 entries is reached.
• Race Day: THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE.

📋 Bib Pickup Details

An early pick-up 2 days before will take place Friday in Sault Sainte Marie at Birdseye Outfitters from 4-6pm located at 107 E Portage Ave. An early bib pickup 1 day prior will take place Saturday, August 30, at one of the Bridge View Park Pavilions as you enter the parking lot from 3-6pm. There will also be a race day bib pickup (NO DAY OF REGISTRATION) for pre-registered participants from 7:00am-8:30am near the start/finish area. Bridge View Park is located at Boulevard Dr., St. Ignace, MI, 49781. It is the park immediately west over the Mackinac Bridge on the St. Ignace side. You will need to take the 1st exit over the bridge traveling North (344A), turn left on US2, then turn left again on Boulevard Drive to head back down the hill to Bridge View Park on your left.

🥇 Medals

Medals will be given to all participants that finish the 5K run or walk. Created by Local Artisan Curtis Sikora.

👕 T-Shirts

Yooper Running Company Shirts will be given to all participants during bib pickup.

🏆 Age Group Awards

0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. 1st place award in each age group.

🥇 Overall Awards

Top Male and Female, top Master Male and Female (40+), and top Grand Master Male and Female (60+) will receive a one of a kind custom water colored plaque from Bricco Designs.

⏱️ Timing

Yooper Running Company times their own events with the Race Results 5000s Decoder utilizing bibs with double transponders for accurate chip timing. A live results link will be added to this section as well as included in an email 1-2 days prior to race day!

🚗 Parking

Parking will be available in a grass lot at Bridge View Park. There will be volunteers directing parking on race day. We ask to avoid parking in the main asphalt lot to allow travelers, that are not participating in the race, ample parking space. Parking is free.

🏞️ Course Details

The course will start in a grassy section of Bridge View Park at the 12 foot tall Yooper Running Company blow up arch (you can't miss it). You will proceed to Boulevard Drive and run/walk West for 1.55 miles before turning around to head towards the finish. There are excellent bridge and water views in both directions along the course. Boulevard Drive is composed of hard packed limestone gravel. There are a few potholes but otherwise it is a smooth road. Make sure not to trespass on beach areas for pictures as most areas are privately owned along the course. Refreshments provided include water, gatorade, juice boxes, chips, fruit snacks, bananas, and an assortment of cookies at the finish. There will be an aid station at the turn around with water and gatorade.
