🍓 Welcome to the Owego Strawberry Festival
Celebrate the 43rd Owego Strawberry Festival with a 5K Run/Walk!
🏃♀️ Event Details
The Strawberry Festival Rock and Run 5K is Thursday night, June 19, 2025, at the Hickories Park in Owego.
- 4:30 PM: Bib pick up opens, Kid's Run Registration-location at the bandstand area.
- 5:15 PM: Kid's Fun Run - all kids, 12 and under, must register with a parent.
- 6:00 PM: 5K Race starts. Cool 2025 Strawberry Festival Race medal for every 5K participant.
- Medal: All 5K participants that sign up will receive a cool 2025 Strawberry Festival Run Medal!
👦 Kid's Fun Run
The Kid's Fun Run Race starts at 5:15 - Ages 12 and under. Runners must register and have a parent sign for them to enter the race, so come early. Fun Run racers will receive a numbered bib and a medal!
⚠️ Safety First
Day of the race: Coming into the Hickories Park, please remember to drive slowly!
- Parking: There will be a lot of people parking and gathering around the bandstand area.
- Watch for Kids: Kids may be running their Fun Run.
- Cones and Volunteers: There will be orange cones and volunteers to highlight the race and help with safety.
- Drive Slowly: Please DRIVE SLOWLY entering the park.
👕 Tee Shirts
Tee shirts are available at a discount for runners/walkers that register on Run Sign Up!
Tee shirts will also be available for sale at the 5K race at event pricing.
🎶 Festivities
Music and festivities start at 5:00.
Following the 5K Race, join us for more free music and fun at the Hickories bandstand. Live music, vendors, ice cream, and food trucks until 9:00!
- Ice Cream Works: Ice cream truck will be there! Yum!
- Pitstop Popcorn: Great popcorn treats!
📅 Festival Events
More Strawberry Festival events will happen in the Village of Owego near the Courthouse:
- Friday, June 20: Starting at 5:00 PM, music, vendors, food, and fireworks in the Village.
- Saturday, June 21: The Strawberry Festival Parade starts at 9:30 AM, with vendors, food, and entertainment all day!
