Owego Strawberry Festival - Rock & Run 5K 2026

Event Overview

Celebrate the 44th Owego Strawberry Festival with a 5K Run/Walk!

The Strawberry Festival Rock and Run 5K is Thursday night, June 18, 2026 at the Hickories Park in Owego.

Race Schedule

• 4:30 PM: Bib pick up opens, Kid's Run Registration-location at the bandstand area.
• 5:15 PM: Kid's Fun Run - all kids, 12 and under, must register with a parent.
• 6:00 PM: 5K Race starts. Cool 2026 Strawberry Festival Race medal for every 5K participant.
• Registration: All 5K participants that sign up will receive the annual 2026 Strawberry Festival Run Medal!

Kid's Fun Run

Kid's Fun Run Race starts at 5:15 - Ages 12 and under. Runners must register and have a parent sign for them to enter the race, so come early. Fun Run racers will receive a numbered bib and a medal!

Safety Information

Day of the race: Coming into the Hickories Park, please remember to drive slowly!

• Parking: There will be a lot of people parking and gathering around the bandstand area.
• Volunteer Support: There will be orange cones and volunteers to highlight the race, and help with safety.
• Reminder: Please DRIVE SLOWLY entering the park.

Event Details

• Tee Shirts: Are available at a discount for runners/walkers that register on Run Sign Up!
• Sales: Tee shirts will also be available for sale at the 5K race at event pricing.
• Music: Music and festivities start at 5:00 PM.
• Post-Race Activities: Following the 5K Race, join us for more free music and fun at the Hickories bandstand. Live music, vendors, ice cream, and food trucks until 9:00!

• Ice Cream Works: Will be bringing their ice cream truck! Yum!
• Pitstop Popcorn: Will be there! Great popcorn treats!
• "Beef on Weck": Food Truck.

• Friday Night, June 19: Starting at 5:00 PM, music, vendors, food, and fireworks in the Village.
• Saturday, June 20: In the Village, the Strawberry Festival Parade starts at 9:30 AM, vendors, food, and entertainment all day!
