The Crenshaw Mile

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: South LA's inaugural USA Track & Field sanctioned 1-mile road race on Crenshaw Boulevard in the historic Crenshaw District for all runners, joggers, and walkers 7 years old or older.
• Accompaniment: Children under 7 years old are welcome to walk/jog the Crenshaw Mile without registering and are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Allowed Devices: Strollers and walking devices are allowed in the jog/walk heat only.

👧 Kids Participation

• Ages: Kids 6-12 years old are invited to participate in USA Track & Field & Hershey's RunJumpThrow (RJT).
• Program: A hands-on learning program that gets kids excited about physical activity by introducing them to the basic running, jumping, and throwing skills through track & field.
• Meet Olympians: Come out and meet USA Track and Field Olympians and Paralympians!

• Location: USATF & Hershey's RunJumpThrow located at Leimert Park Plaza (4395 Leimert Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90008) *open for kids until 11AM
• Start Line: Crenshaw Mile Running & Walking Heats START: S. Crenshaw Blvd & Slauson Ave FINISH: S. Crenshaw Blvd & W Vernon Ave *see heat schedule below.
• Finishers Village: Located at Leimert Park Plaza (4395 Leimert Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90008) *open for all participants, spectators, and the community.

• 9AM - Nike Running Youth Girls (7-12 years old)
• 9:15AM - Nike Running Youth Boys (7-12 years old)
• 9:30AM - Open Womens (13+)
• 9:50AM - Open Mens (13+)
• 10:10AM - Womens Invitational (Invite only based on time)
• 10:20AM - Mens Invitational (Invite only based on time)
• 10:30AM - Community Walk/Jog
