• Concert: Rock concert featuring the ABC Combo

🚦 Race Day Information

• Registration: Opens at 4:00 PM on race day
• Packet Pickup: Early pickup available on August 15th from 5-6 PM at Highlands Recreation Park
• Parking: Available around Kelsey Hutchinson Park, Highlands Recreation Park, Highlands Ball-field, and Highlands Post Office
• Weather: Rarely above 80 degrees in summer, always cool in the evening

🌟 Proceeds & Awards

• Charity: All proceeds go to the Highlands Community Child Development Center (HCCDC)
• Fundraising: Helped raise $25,000 last year for local children
• Awards: Presented to overall top male and female, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters, and top 3 finishers in each 5-year age division
• Record Bonuses: $100 for breaking the course record (16:57) and $50 for new age category records

Kids under 5 run the 5K for free, and kids aged 5 to 9 can participate for $10. Day of race registration will be $45 for the 5K, so register early! Friendly dogs on leashes are welcome at the back of the pack.

This is the premier 5K event in beautiful Highlands, NC. Come race and spend the weekend in our lovely town. The course is USATF certified (NC16004DW).
