• Event Purpose: This 18th annual event serves as the non-profit's primary fundraising event for their annual G.A.M.E.S. Scholarship fund, awarded to selected graduating high school student athletes each May.

• Notable Events: These include the '96 Olympic Box-offs, '99 and '02 Georgia Games Championships, Nike EYBL Peach Jam Basketball, USA Cycling Championships, and the IRONMAN 70.3 Augusta.

• Ray Guy Award: The Augusta Sports Council is the home of the Ray Guy Award, which is given to the top College Punter of the Year.
