State Games of West Virginia 5K Trail Run/Walk and 11K Trail Run

• Medalists: All medalists are eligible to represent West Virginia at the 2026 State Games of America in Happy Valley, PA.

5K Trail Run/Walk

• Location: The race will take place at Heritage Farm starting at the covered bridge.
• Route: Racers will head up the Grindstone Trail, then transition to the Corn Husker Trail finishing near the covered bridge.
• Medals: Medals will be awarded for overall men's and women's 1st, 2nd, 3rd finishers and age groups U18, 18-35, 36-50, 51-64, and 65+.

11K Trail Run

• Extended Version: An extended version of the 5K Trail Run offering more thrill for veteran trail runners.
• Medals: Awards for overall men's and women's 1st, 2nd, 3rd finishers and age groups U18, 18-35, 36-50, 51-64, and 65+.

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

• Description: This 1 mile hike will be a fun farm walk or run across the beautiful Appalachian scenery of Heritage Farm.
• Kid Division: Medals for overall boys and girls 1st, 2nd, 3rd finishers and boys and girls in age groups 5U, 6-10, 11-15.
• Adult Awards: Top 3 adult (16+) men and women will be awarded medals as well.

• History: The State Games of West Virginia is the first state games in the Mountain State, associated with The National Congress of State Games.
• Format: The State Games of America features Olympic-style competition between State Game medal winners from across the nation.
• Participation: Currently, 30 states are conducting or organizing statewide sports festivals known as state games, with West Virginia being the 30th.
