What is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001.
Honor: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military.
Growth: This will be our 1st Annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Huntington Beach.

How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles).
Participation: Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
Where can I pick up my packet?
Pickup Time: Packet pick up will be available on the morning of the event beginning at 7am.
Location: Information on a pre-event day packet pick up will be available as the event date approaches.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Authorization: Yes, they can, but they must present a copy of your registration receipt.
Gratitude: And don't forget to thank them!
Can I register the day of the run?
Registration Time: Yes, registration will open at 7am the morning of the run at Main Beach.
Advantages: You’ll save time and money if you register in advance.
Shirt Availability: We may not have a shirt for you and we do not guarantee sizes for late registrants.
Are there event T-shirts?
Eligibility: Yes, everyone who registers is eligible to receive a race day T-shirt.
Deadline: Please register by 9/2/2025 to guarantee that you receive a shirt.
Is there parking available?
Parking Options: Yes, there is plenty of parking available.
Free Parking: Free parking is located along the streets across from the beach parking lot.
On-Site Parking: Parking on-site at Main Beach is subject to a fee collected by the city of Huntington Beach.
Do I have to wear my bib number?
Visibility: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
Compliance: Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.
I am a fast runner. Can I get a front line position?
Seeded Runners: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral.
Arrive Early: It's advised to arrive early.
Will there be awards for running?
Awards: Award medals will be given to the top three men/women, boys/girls under 18.
First Responders: Awards for the top 3 first responders running in their turnout gear will also be given.
Will water be available?
Water Stations: Yes, water will be available at the Start Line and Finish Line.
Is there a medical staff available on-site?
EMS Team: We are currently making plans to have an EMS team on site.
What can you bring to the event?
Allowed Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted, but we ask that those with strollers start towards the back.
Prohibited Items: Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle.

Response Time: We will reply within 24 hours.
Volunteer Needs: Volunteers are always needed for the day of festivities.
