What is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
- Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001.
- Honoring Heroes: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

- Community Event: This will be our 1st Annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Huntington Beach and we are excited to grow the community’s commitment to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Event Details
- Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles). Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
- Packet Pickup: Packet pick up will be available on the morning of the event beginning at 7am as well as at Fleet Feet Cosa Mesa on Friday, September 18th in the afternoon.
- Day-of Registration: Registration will open at 7 AM on the morning of the run at Main Beach.
- Awards: Award medals will be given to the top three men/women, boys/girls under 18, and the top 3 first responders running in their turnout gear.
Participant Information
- T-Shirts: Yes, everyone who registers is eligible to receive a race day T-shirt. Please register by 8/31/2026 to guarantee that you receive a shirt.
- Parking: Yes, there is plenty of parking available. Free parking is located along the streets across from the beach parking lot.
- Wearing Bib Number: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment. The bib number is how we record the time.
- Water Availability: Yes, water will be available at the Start Line and Finish Line.
Volunteering & Fundraising
- Volunteering: It's simple, either register online or email us at huntingtonbeachrun@t2t.org and we will reply within 24 hours.
- Fundraising: Once you are registered, you will be given directions to start your own fundraising page and accept donations online.
- Donations: You can send donations directly to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at the address provided in the full description.
- Sponsorship: Please send sponsorship correspondence to huntingtonbeachrun@t2t.org with your contact information.

- No Refunds: We do not provide refunds for the event regardless if you cannot make the date.
- Transfer Registration: Yes, please contact us at huntingtonbeachrun@t2t.org to manually change it in our system.
- EMS Availability: We are currently making plans to have an EMS team on site.
