About this race
🏃♂️ The run BEFORE the parade!
Thousands of cheering spectators along beautiful, tree-lined, Manatee Avenue make this a unique 5k experience.
- Course: Runners will race an out-and-back course along the route of the Hernando de Soto Historical Society Heritage Festival Grand Parade on Manatee Avenue down to around 37th St W and back to downtown Old Main.
- Start Time: NEW this year - race starts at 5:00 pm.
- Finish Line: The start and finish line are near Old Main and Manatee Ave.
- Parade: This is one of the most spectacular parades in the southeastern United States.
📝 Register by April 17th to guarantee a shirt.

- Location: Located on Beautiful Downtown Main Street
- Participants: Runners & Walkers Welcome!
- Timing: Chip timed
- Water Stops: Water stops at each mile
🎉 Post-Race Festivities
- After Party: After party at the Parade Festivities at the courthouse lawn, including a FREE BEER! with bib.
- Activities: They will have activities, kids activity zone, food and live music so come on out and enjoy!
- Awards: Awards for overall finishers and all age Group Awards.
- Parking: Lots of Parking (3rd/12th Lot, Parking Structures and More)

- Scholarships: Students in need of volunteer hours for scholarships are eligible and will receive a signed letter from the club verifying hours.

Your money (after race expenses are deducted) goes to support local student running athletes. The De Soto Grand Parade 5k benefits the Bradenton Runners Club student athletic program which awards scholarships to high school seniors and financial aid to students wishing to attend summer running camps.
