DeSoto Grand Parade 5K - 21st Annual

The run BEFORE the parade! Thousands of cheering spectators along beautiful, tree-lined, Manatee Avenue make this a unique 5k experience.

Runners will race an out-and-back course along the route of the Hernando de Soto Historical Society Heritage Festival Grand Parade on Manatee Avenue down to around 37th St W and back to downtown Old Main. This is one of the most spectacular parades in the southeastern United States. The start and finish line are near Old Main and Manatee Ave.  NEW this year - race starts at 5:00 pm.

Register by April 17th to guarantee a shirt.

-Awards for overall finishers and all age Group Awards (available for pick-up as results post): Overall, Masters 40+, Grand Masters 50+, Senior Grand Masters 60+, Veteran Grand Masters 70+; 3 deep in age groups 9 & Under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19 & 5 year age groups 20-24 to 80+ (There are no finisher medals, just the many, many awards listed here.)

After party at the Parade Festivities at the courthouse lawn, including a FREE BEER! with bib.. They will have activities, kids activity zone, food and live music so come on out and enjoy!

Your money (after race expenses are deducted) go to support local student running athletes.
