🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

ABWR has teamed up with two local charities to help with fire relief efforts. Portion of proceeds will go to California Community Foundation and Pasadena Humane Society.

📅 Event Date and Location

• Date: September 27, 2025
• Location: 5400 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA
• Check-in: 7:00 - 7:30 AM for everyone
• Start Time: 7:30 AM

🛑 Course Information

• Half Marathon Cutoff: 10:45 AM, option to start early available with email request to abetterworldrunning@yahoo.com
• Start Location: Check in at the tables closest to 54th Place, at the start of the beach path. NOT near Claremont Ave.
• Use GPS: Do not use Apple Maps, prefer Google Maps or Waze instead.
• Map Info: A photo of the map is available on the website: A Better World Running

🚻 Preparation Tips

• Carpooling: Plan on carpooling to find parking and use the restroom more easily.
• Restroom Supplies: Bring toilet paper as the beach restrooms may not be fully stocked early in the morning.
• Water Stations: Numerous restrooms and water fountains will be available along the course.
• Results Posting: All participants will have their results posted with names and times after the event.

• Finisher Medals: All finishers will receive a medal.
• Free Photos: Free pictures will be posted on our Facebook page after the event.
• Pacing: Pacers and crew are welcome at any time.
• Relaxed Experience: We emphasize a fun and personal racing experience!

• 5k: Out and back route - View Route
• 10k: Two 5k loops
• 15k: Three 5k loops
• Half Marathon: Three 4.36 mi loops - View Route
