Event Overview

Monroe County Friends of Animals (MCFA) is sponsoring our 3rd Annual 5K & 1-Mile Walk/Run along with a Virtual Race Option! 🐾

MCFA is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing for and continuously improving the health, happiness, and fortune of homeless and abandoned dogs and cats in Monroe County.

Join us for this family-friendly event that brings together animal lovers, runners, walkers, and community members to support this very worthy cause.

In-Person Race Details 9/12/2026

• Event Options: Choose between 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk/Run
• Location: Enjoy a scenic paved path around the lake at Kefauver Park in Madisonville
• Participation: Dogs are encouraged, but not required to participate (bandanas for MCFA Alumni)!
• Timing: Event timing provided by East Coast Adventures

Event Perks

• Finisher Medal: Every participant receives a finisher medal
• Event T-Shirt: Participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt
• SWAG Bag: Enjoy a bag filled with goodies

Race Day Schedule

• Packet Pick-Up Begins: 7:30 am
• 5K Start Time: 9:00 am
• 1-Mile Walk/Run Start: 9:30 am

1. Log into: Your RunSignup Account here
2. Access Your Profile: Go to Your Profile here
3. Submit Results: Click Submit Virtual Results on the Event for which You have Results
