Event Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001.
Community Support: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

Event Significance: We are excited to once again bring together the community to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers programs.
How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) to walk or run this event.
Accessibility: Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
Where can I pick up my packet?
Packet Location: Packet pickup is in the Loudon Fire & Police Department Training Room at 100 Cedar Street, Loudon.
Pickup Times: It will be on Friday, September 11 between 4-6 pm and Saturday, September 12 between 7-8:30 am.
Can I register the day of the run?
Registration Opening: Yes. Registration will open at 7 am the morning of the run.
Early Registration Perks: You’ll save time and money if you register early.
Shirt Availability: If you wait, we may not have a shirt for you and we do not guarantee sizes for late registrants.
Payment Policy: No cash transactions for in-person registrations.
When does online registration close?
Online Access: Online registration is open until the run starts.
Do I have to wear my bib number?
Bib Requirement: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
Course Policy: Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.
I am a fast runner. Can I get a frontline position?
Frontline Position: Yes. This is not a timed event, so there should be no issue getting a frontline position at the start.
Will there be awards for running?
Award Focus: Awards are simple since our mission is to honor first responders: most awards are based on firefighters, police, or military running in gear.
Event Nature: This event is intended to be an experience and much more than a run.
Event Promotion: Not promoted as a competitive 5K race, but as a reenactment retracing the 3+ mile distance Stephen Siller ran.
Will water be available?
Water Stations: Yes, two water stations will be set up along the route.
Finish Line Water: There will be water available at the finish line.
What can you bring to the event?
Allowed Items: Strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs are permitted. Friendly dogs are welcome on a leash or pet stroller.
Gear Policy: Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted.
Personal Items Warning: Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle. All items should be stored securely at the owner's risk.
Does my registration fee count towards my fundraising goal?
Registration Fee: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Packet Pickup Policy: Yes, they can. They must present a copy of your registration receipt.
Gratitude: Don’t forget to thank them!
Can I still donate to a team and/or individual after the start of the race?
Donation Timeline: Yes. Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.

Can I get a refund?
Refund Policy: We do not provide refunds for the event if you cannot attend, or the Foundation needs to cancel the event.
How can I volunteer?
Volunteer Contact: Email us at loudon@t2t.org and we will reply within 24 hours.
Volunteer Need: Volunteers are always needed for the day of festivities.
Do registrants get receipts?
Receipt Information: When you register online you should automatically receive a receipt.
Payment Confirmation: If paying by credit card or check that is your receipt. If paying in cash, receipt upon request.
Is there medical staff available on-site?
Medical Availability: Yes, there will be an Emergency Medical Service team available on site.
Communication: Radio communication available on the course to help communicate with the EMS.
