About this race
Event Overview
Run, Walk or Soar with us for the 6th annual Hopson Trail Runs- Give Cancer the Bird. Located in the Hamlet of Honeoye, you will experience beautiful fall foliage throughout the entire course without the annoyance of vehicle traffic.
Course Details
- Distances available: The traditional 5K and the only 9K in New York!
- Scenic route: The majority of the course is a combination of wide grassy trails through WoodsEdge Retreat and established trails through Sandy Bottom Park.
- Wildlife encounters: You may have to dodge a few rabbits or squirrels or yield to a fairy or two in Hopson's Forest!
- Nature's guidance: If we’re lucky, our pair of resident Bald Eagles will guide the way.
Beneficiary
This year':s beneficiary will be Embrace Your Sisters. Their Mission is to provide support and hope to people in our communities struggling with Breast Cancer through financial assistance, education, and informational resources.
Post-Race Event
- Location: Post race event at Birdhouse Brewery located across the street from the start /finish line.
- Activities: Live music, a complementary pint of Birdhouse beer and a good time with friends and family.
- Dainty Donuts: Our friends from Dainty Donuts will be back again this year!
- Free treats: Participants also receive a complimentary pack of donuts.
Registration Information
- Early Registration: Register early to receive the coveted, sweet insulated grocery tote. Limited quantities available - 1st come, 1st receive.
- Shirt Guarantee: Register by September 24th to guarantee a shirt. After September 24th, a limited surplus may be available.
Awards
- 5K Awards: Custom Made awards will be presented to the 1st place overall female & male finishers, 1st place overall masters (40+) male & female and "middle of the flock"!
- 9K Awards: Custom Made awards will be presented to the 1st place overall female & male finishers, 1st place overall masters (40+) male & female.
- Finisher Medals: Every finisher will receive a really cool, custom designed, locally produced finisher medal.
