14th Annual Running of the Blueberries

Join us for the 2025 Running of the Blueberries! This event features a scenic 5K/10K travel along the Lanana Creek Trail. Dogs and families alike are welcome to come support Dog Park Nacogdoches.

🎉 Post-Event Festivities

After the event, enjoy the Texas Blueberry Festival in downtown Nacogdoches. This is the most delicious festival in the Lone Star State—a day-long celebration of the annual blueberry harvest.

👕 Shirts

• Participants: Participants are provided with a high-quality performance t-shirt.
• Youth Sizes: Available to those who register by May 31.
• Availability: T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed to those who register after May 31 (size availability can be seen as you register).
• First-Come Basis: After that, t-shirts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

⏰ Start Time

• 10K: Will start at 7:15 AM.
• 5K: Will start at 7:30 AM.
• One Mile: Will immediately follow the 5K.

🏆 Awards

5K Award categories: Overall Female/Male, Fastest Dog and Age Group Awards (1st, 2nd & 3rd): 0-17, 18-29, 30-44, 45-59, 60+

10K Award categories: Overall Female/Male, Fastest Dog and Age Group Awards (1st, 2nd & 3rd): 0-17, 18-29, 30-44, 45-59, 60+

🐾 Participation

• Dogs: Dogs are encouraged to participate, but due to the section of stairsteps to cross a bridge and the uneven surface of the trail, strollers are not recommended (but not impossible with a helper!).
• Registration Limits: The race (5K and 10K together) is limited to the first 350 registrants.
• 1-Mile Event: Limited to the first 100 registrants.

📦 Packet Pickup

• When: Packet pickup will be the day before the race from 4-6 PM at the CL Simon Recreation Center at 1112 North Street.
• Race Day: Available at the start of the race the morning of from 6:30-7:15 AM.

📝 Race Day Registration

• Availability: Race day registration will be available the morning of the race between 6:30 and 7:15 AM IF the race has not sold out (no cash accepted the day of).
• Online Registration: Continues until the start time of the course.

💵 Refunds

Refunds are not offered for any reason. If you are no longer able to participate you may transfer your registration to another individual, as long as you notify the race officials at least 48 hours before the race.
