5th Annual Nacogdoches Dia de Los Muertos: Day of the Dead Fun Run: November 1, 2025

🌼 Race Overview

Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), is a time when families gather to honor and remember deceased loved ones. It is believed that the souls of the dead return to visit the living families in homes, businesses and cemeteries. This is a joyful festivity for families and the community.

🎓 Support for NEF

• Beneficiary: This year our race will be supporting the Nacogdoches Education Foundation (NEF).
• Mission: A non-profit organization dedicated to the mission of Nacogdoches I.S.D.
• Connection: NEF connects community resources with the needs of the school district.
• Funding: Providing funding to enhance educational opportunities for students and support staff.

📅 Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup: Oct 31, 2025 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm

No Refunds: NO REFUNDS ARE ALLOWED FOR THIS RACE!!

🏆 Awards and Medals

• Participation Medals: All 5K participants will receive participation medals upon completion of their distance.
• Top Finishers: Awards for the top overall male and female finishers for the 5K.
• Age Group Awards: Awards for each age group for the 5K.
• Shirts: Shirts only for the 5K runners.

⏰ Race Day Timeline

Start Times: 1 mile begins at 8 am and the 5K begins at 8:15 am
