Event Overview

The Social Work Student organizations, Phi Alpha Honors Society, and Title IV-E program at California State University, Fresno are hosting a Child Abuse/Foster Care Awareness 5K Run/Walk, which will not only raise awareness about child abuse and Foster Care but also incorporate a wellness component for families. This dual-purpose event aims to both advocate for child safety and foster care, raising awareness of the need to support the well-being of families, caregivers, and foster youth.

Goals of the Event

• Advocacy: Raise awareness of child abuse and foster care issues.
• Wellness Component: Incorporate resources for mental and physical well-being.
• Community Engagement: Foster safety and support within families.
• Annual Fundraising: Proceeds will support next year's event to make this an annual event.
