Are you looking for a way to positively impact your community while staying active and healthy? Look no further than the Run For It program, developed by the Tucker Community Foundation in 2007. This program encourages participation in healthy activities while raising much-needed support, and awareness for non-profit organizations, civic organizations, and charities in our eight-county region of West Virginia and Maryland.

🤝 Team Participation

Join one of the many teams representing non-profit and charitable organizations and take advantage of three opportunities to raise support through the program:

• Entry Fees: Half of the $12.00 entry fee goes towards your chosen cause.
• Team Sponsorship: Team sponsors can donate any amount to any number of causes.
• Race Day Awards: The Foundation provides the initial funding for the race awards purse.
• Cash Awards: Race sponsors supplement these awards, leading to 100% cash awards for teams across numerous award categories.

🌍 Causes Supported

By participating in Run For It, you'll be supporting a wide range of causes that make a difference in our community, including:

• Arts: Supporting local arts programs and initiatives.
• Animal Welfare: Helping shelters and rescue organizations.
• Community Improvement: Funding projects that benefit local communities.
• Youth Organizations: Promoting programs for youth development.

The annual Run For It campaign begins on April 1, 2025, and culminates with a 2k walk and 5k walk/run on September 27, 2025, in Davis, WV, during the annual Leaf Peeper's Festival.
