Grosse Ile Memorial Day Races

🎉 A Beloved Grosse Ile Tradition Returns!

The Memorial Day 5k Race, a longstanding favorite on the island, is back! Previously hosted by the Island Road Runners, the event is now under the care of Conz Productions—but don’t worry, the race you know and love remains largely unchanged. Runners can still choose between the 5k and 8k routes, while kids can enjoy a free, one-mile fun run (note: T-shirt and medal not included for the fun run). The race will kick off on May 26th at Grosse Ile High School.

📝 Registration Details:

• 5k: $40 until May 16th, after then $45 until race day
• 8k: $45 until May 16th, after then $50 until race day
• T-shirt Guarantee: Register by May 11th to guarantee your race T-shirt! Registrations after this date will still receive a medal, but T-shirts will no longer be available.
• Medal Availability: Please note: Participants who register within 5 days of the race are not guaranteed a medal, so sign up early to secure yours!

📋 Bib & T-shirt Pickup:

This year, we’re trying something new with bib pickup! When you arrive at the race, head to the Bib & T-Shirt Pickup table. Bib Pickup will begin at 8 am. You’ll be randomly assigned a bib number at that time. After you cross the finish line, you’ll receive your medal, and once you’re done racing, you can return to the same table to pick up your race T-shirt. T-shirts that are not claimed by the end of the race will be forfeited.

🎖️ New This Year: Giving Back to Our Veterans

In honor of Memorial Day, we’re proud to donate $5 from each registration fee to a local veterans’ organization of your choice from our provided list. This race is about honoring those who have served, and we’re committed to giving back to our heroes.
