🎉 Event Overview

Start Independence Day off with a BANG and join us for a 1-mile FUN Run/Walk or a fun 5K, then stay for all the celebration activities throughout the day including a parade!

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Date: 2025-07-04
• Location: 700 E Wilson, Bement, IL
• Official Timing: The 5K will be officially timed by the Decatur Running Club.
• Awards: Awards will be given to the first 3 finishers in each age group of male and female.

📍 Route Information

Both routes start/end at the Piatt County Forest Preserve. 5K awards ceremony will start at 9am.

🥤 Refreshments

• Post-Race: Snacks, water and Gatorade will be provided after the race.
• Water Stop: The 5K route will have a water stop on the course.

🇺🇸 Dress Code

Make it even more fun and festive by dressing patriotic!

📝 Registration Details

• Same Day Sign Up: $35. Please have exact cash.
• Shirt Pickup: Shirts can be picked up morning of the race.
• Shirt Deadline: Shirt deadline is June 13th.
• Claim Deadline: Shirts must be claimed by July 11th.
