Allerton Park Trail Run

🏃‍♂️ Welcome to the Allerton Park Trail Run!

Second Wind Running Club welcomes you to the Allerton Park Trail Run!

🌲 Course Description

• Distance: 5.7-mile course that follows the Sangamon River.
• Trail Features: Expect hidden roots, ruts, sharp turns, and other obstacles.
• Community Contribution: A portion of the proceeds is donated back to Allerton Park for trail maintenance and park enhancements.
• Improvements: Donations have been used for various improvements including railings at dangerous spots, trail erosion control, and more.

👕 Race Shirt Registration

• Shirt Deadline: To receive a race shirt, register by Sunday, October 12th, 2025.
• No Shirt Option: Choose ‘no shirt’ during registration if you prefer.
• Monticello Triple Crown: To qualify for this, you must register by Sunday, October 12th, 2025.

🎉 Post-Race Celebration

• Gathering Spot: The race ends in the meadow for you to celebrate with family and friends.
• Costumes: We encourage you to wear costumes since the race is close to Halloween!
• Awards: Awards for top male, top female, and age group winners will be given.
• Prizes: Door prizes and costume contest prizes will also be awarded!

• Registration Page: Registration is via this page only.
• Closing Time: Ends promptly on race day, October 26th, at 8:30 AM.

🤝 Volunteers Needed

• Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteers can sign up regardless of registration for the Trail Run or Nature Walk.
• Responsibilities: Will vary based on the opportunity selected.
• Guidance: The Race Director and experienced volunteers will provide direction as needed.
• Pre-Event Training: Further instructions and possible training will be provided closer to the event date.

⚠️ Safety Notification

For safety purposes, no dogs are allowed on the trail run or the nature walk.
