The Rehab Rover Canicross and Trail Race powered by Veterinary Rehabilitation Services of Virginia and Harness Canicular LLC presents the 2nd Annual Canicross race in the Commonwealth of Virginia! Whether you are joining us for fun or competing for a top spot on the podium, your bond with your dog will be strengthened as you navigate the trail together! Join us on October 4, 2025, for the best day with your dog!

🎉 Rehab Rover Finisher's Festival

• Date: October 4, 2025
• Time: 9 am - 2 pm (spectators and family welcome)
• Location: Near the historic Clifton House on the property
• Features: The Dog House Biergarten, food trucks, music, and Vendor Village

🏃‍♀️ Race Information

• Start Times: Runners will start in teams of 3 at 1-2-minute intervals.
• Course: Fully outdoors, ample space to distance.
• Swag: Every Participant will receive a logo race T-shirt and a finisher medal.
• Registration: Note: T-shirt/size is not guaranteed if you register after August 31, 2025.

🏕️ Accommodations

• Camping: Make plans to Camp or bring your RV the night before or stay one night after the race.
• Clifton House: Limited rooms available for the event. Contact april@cliftonhouse.farm for reservations.
• Massage: Whiskers 2 Toes Canine Massage Therapy will offer appointments for participant dogs.

⏰ Race Day Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Begins on-site on Friday at 4:00 pm.
• Registration Check-in: 7:15 am on race day.
• 10 K Canicross Start: 8:30 AM
• 5k Canicross Start: 9:00 AM: 5K Casual Dog Friendly Run Start: 9:30 AM

💧 Course Info

• Water Stations: 3 water/aid stations on the course at 1.0 mile intervals.
• Photography: A professional photographer will be located at different points on the course.
• No Greet Policy: Dogs must be kept on a leash: owners must control their dogs at all times.
• Reactiveness: Reactive dogs will be directed to a special parking area to minimize their stress.

🙋‍♀️ Volunteers Needed

If you can help during race day, it would be much appreciated! We will need help with both setup and breakdown and during races. If you would like to run and participate, we can accommodate you and offer our volunteers a discount on registration for participating.

• Sponsors: We are excited to feature vendors and sponsors that support dog-related sports and activities.
• Weather Contingency: Alternatives available should extreme weather occur.
• Medical Response: Planning includes emergency response for both humans and canines.

⚠️ Safety Protocols

• Briefings: Competitor briefing will be held before the race starts.
• Emergency Procedures: Instructions for emergencies will be provided.
• Cell Phones: Competitors allowed to carry devices for emergencies.
• First Aid: Participants should locate an aid station volunteer for minor injuries.
