🌍 Mission and Background

• Inspiration: In 2020, ASICS elite athlete Johnny Gregorek set the World Record for the fastest mile ever run in denim to raise awareness for mental health.
• Ongoing Mission: ASICS is continuing this cause by inviting runners everywhere to participate in our largest virtual Blue Jean Mile while joining in-person events.
• Partnership: The Gansett Run Club partners with the National Alliance on Mental Illness – Rhode Island Chapter (NAMI-RI) for this event.
• Donations: Participants have the opportunity to donate to NAMI-RI during registration to support mental health initiatives.
