Awesome Autumn run in beautiful Potawatomi State Park, Door County, WI. Celebrating 37 years of Run Wild.
Race Details
Challenges: Take the challenge and run up tower hill in the featured 10K race.
Course: Both the 5K and 10K are run on tree-lined park roads closed to traffic in scenic Potawatomi State Park.
Park Fee: Park entrance fee is waived on the day of the race until 11:00 a.m.
Support: All proceeds raised go to support the Friends of Potawatomi State Park projects in the park.
Awards & Packet Pickup
Awards: Awards to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each 10-year age division.
Pickup: Awards will not be mailed, must be picked up on the day of the race.
Timing: There will be a gun start and chip timed finish.
Location: Packet pick-up is at Bay Shore Outfitters, 59 N. Madison Ave. in Sturgeon Bay on Friday, October 9th from 2-6 PM or day of starting at 7:30 a.m. at the event.
T-Shirt & Registration Information
Guarantee: Long sleeve T-shirts are guaranteed for all registrations received by September 19th.
Extras: If you register after September 19th you are not guaranteed a T-shirt but we order extras and may have enough for all.
Fees: Pre-registration fees go up on September 20th, 2026.
Closure: Online registration closes at 9:00PM on October 7th, 2026. You can still register in person at packet pick-up or the day of the run at the event.
Race Day Schedule
Start Times: The 5K and 10K races both have a gun start promptly at 9:30 a.m. on October 10th, 2026.
Kids Fun Run: A 1/3 mile Smokey Bear run will be held at approximately 10:30 for ages 2-10.
Bib Visibility: Please wear your bib in front and keep visible for our timers and volunteers at intersections.
Changes: If you need to change events, we need to know ASAP as results are greatly affected.
Logistics
Road Closures: We have road closures at 9:15 a.m.
Arrival Time: In order to make it to the starting line on time, please arrive at the park by 8:30 a.m.
No Pets: For the safety of runners and volunteers, this is a NO PET event. Thank you for your understanding.
