Joshua's Wish 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month – a time to come together, take action, and make a difference. Join us for the 16th Annual Joshua's Wish 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1155 College Street, Macon, GA.

🕒 Race Schedule

• Start Time: The 5K begins at 8:00 AM, with the Kids Fun Run starting shortly afterward.
• Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group. Every child participating in the Kids Fun Run will receive a medal!
• Event Type: It's a chip-timed event, and it's a day of fitness, fun, and family – all in support of a powerful cause: raising awareness and funding for childhood cancer research.
• Team Participation: Form a team, bring the whole family, and register today! Let's make every step count for kids fighting cancer.

📋 Packet Pick Up

• Date: September 19th
• Time: 3 PM until 6 PM
• Location: Peyton Anderson Community Service

👕 Registration Information

• Early Registration: Only Early Registrations are Guaranteed a T-Shirt - Early Registration ends on September 4, 2025.
• Virtual Participants: T-Shirt will be mailed.

🏆 Awards Ceremony

• 5K Run/Walk: Medals are awarded to the TOP THREE finishers in each age group.
• Kids Fun Run: Medals for ALL participants.
• Team Awards: Recognition for the Largest Team.

📅 Run/Walk Schedule

• 7:00 AM: Check-in / Registration / Packet pick up.
• 7:30 AM: Warm Up.
• 8:00 AM: 5K Run/Walk.
• 8:45 AM: Kids Fun Run (12 years & under: includes t-shirt). Children 5 and under must have a parent walking/running with them.

⏱️ Timing and Participation

• Chip Timing: The 5K is chip timed: the fun run is not.
• Fun Run Timing: The fun run will be on the clock but not recorded: finishers can read their time from the clock as they cross the finish line.
• Parental Guidance: Children 5 and under must have a parent walking/running with them.
