• Options: 25K &: 50K (two loops)

• Date: Saturday, January 17th, 2026

START TIMES

• 50K: Starts at 8 a.m.
• 25K: Starts at 9 a.m.
• End Time: 5 p.m.

CUT-OFF

• Location: AS3 at 4 p.m.
• Travel Time: Gives participants an hour to travel 4 miles to the finish.

LOCATION

• Venue: Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area
• Start/Finish: Edward L. Walls Activity Hall
• Directions: The hall is at the intersection of Ranger Skinner Drive &: Kennel Road, Elkton, MD 21921. Use 4640 Telegraph Road for navigation apps.

ENTRY FEE

• Online Fee: $40 + processing fee

FIELD LIMIT

• Runner Limit: Maximum 600 runners, no exceptions.

AMENITIES

• Finishers: All finishers will receive a medal and swag item (buff, beanie, pint glass).
• Facility: The activity hall (start/finish) is heated, with a full kitchen and restrooms.
• Capacity: Hall has a capacity of 400, so there will be room to leave your gear or change of clothes.
• Parking: Ample parking will be available: consider car-pooling.

AID STATIONS

• Locations: Major aid stations at mile 4.3, 7.5, and 11.5.
• Start/Finish Aid: The start/finish area will also act as an aid station for 50K runners.
• Supplies: Aid stations are stocked with gels, drinks, water, soda, snacks, and more.
• Fire Pits: Each aid station will have a wood or propane fire pit.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

• Terrain: Fair Hill features gentle rolling hills and moderately steep climbs that will not exceed 150 feet.
• Course Length: 15.6 mile course starting/finishing on about 0.5 mile of asphalt/gravel road.
• Trail Type: The remainder consists of beautiful, single-track trails.
• Trail Details: There’s about 1.0 miles of pasture/open field running.

WEATHER EXPECTATIONS

• Conditions: Expect anything mother nature has to offer.
• Past Experience: In 2014, PHUNT started at a bone-chilling 6 degrees, topping out at 30 degrees.
• Snow: Runners had to contend with 5 inches of fresh snow.
• Average Temps: Average low is 24, and the average high is 42.

REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS

• Policy: No refunds, bib transfers, or deferments offered.
• Entry Fees: If you cannot make the event, the Race Director considers your entry fee a donation.
• Use of Funds: Funds will be used as the Race Director deems necessary.
