🏅 Backyard Format Rules

• Yard Definition: 100 miles divided into 24 hours gives 4.167 miles for a "yard".
• Time Requirements: Runners must be back in the starting corral before the hour ends.
• Personal Area: Runners and crew can set up personal areas for aid and rest between yards.
• Disqualification: Failure to line up in the starting corral results in disqualification.

⚠️ Rules on Course Conduct

• No Aid: Competitors cannot receive aid from friends or crew once on the course.
• Bathroom Policy: Runners may leave the course only for restrooms.
• No Artificial Aids: Trekking poles and other artificial aids are not permitted.
• Final Lap: The last runner must complete a final lap to be declared the winner.

💰 Cash Prize Rules

• Overall Winner: Must complete one more yard than the next competitor.
• Seconder Payout: Not awarded if more than one seconder finishes.
• Silver Ticket: Bronze ticket winners qualify for Silver Ticket races, leading to national championships.
• Future Championships: Top finishers can earn a spot at national and world championships in subsequent years.
