Event Overview

  • Format: Timed event format, recording greatest distance possible while running, walking, or hiking.
  • Team Option: Compete as a 2-6 person team in our 24-Hour Relay.
  • Event Durations: 1-hour, 3-hour, 6-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour, 48-hour, 72-hour, and 100-hour.
  • Main Event: All events are on course together on Saturday: new events include a Friday night beer mile and a Saturday Jackalope Joey kids run.

Location and Facilities

  • Venue: 7IL Ranch, located just outside of Cat Spring / Bellville, Texas.
  • Amenities: Barn and pavilion staging area, ample parking, on-site camping, washroom and shower facilities, RV hookup spots.
  • Atmosphere: Open landscape and welcoming ranch setting for a true Texas ultra experience.
  • Course: Flat, fast 2-mile out-and-back on a short-grass and gravel farm road.

Participant Experience

  • Course Details: Complete as many full 2-mile laps as chosen within the selected event duration.
  • Rest Breaks: Common for runners to take breaks, sleep, or leave and return to continue their miles.
  • Aid Station: Fully stocked main aid station featuring a Texas-sized ultra buffet with real food options.
  • Personal Setup: Runners encouraged to set up tents and crew areas along the course for easy access.

Participant Rewards

  • Participation Gifts: Receive a mounted jackalope head and either a race shirt or hoodie.
  • Milestone Buckles: Solo competitors reaching 100 kilometers or more will earn a buckle for milestone distances.
  • Bonus Patches: Available for ruck participants.
  • Keepsake: All participants will receive a participant keepsake.

Relay Pricing and Format

  • Refund Structure: Each new member registering leads to a $10 refund for previous members.
  • Per-Person Fee: The larger the team, the lower the per-person registration fee.
  • Open Format: No designated order or number of laps required: exchanges only in the designated area.
  • Team Composition: Teams can compete in all male, all female, or coed divisions (minimum 2 females).
