Event Overview
- Explore: The trails with us this winter in our 13th annual Rocks and Roots Winter Trail Series in January and February!
- Choose: From distances of 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K, or 50K on both dates.
- Participate: Run just one of the races or sign up for both to receive the Trail Package!
- Partnership: We are partnering with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for this trail running series.
Event Details
- Date: January 24 and February 21, 2027.
- Starting Time: All races will begin at 8:00 AM.
- Location: Rocks and Roots Trail at Alum Creek State Park, near Hollenback Rd.
- Signage: Look for yellow Fleet Feet arrows guiding you to the start.

What's Included
- Trail Package: Includes a hooded sweatshirt, RnR Water Bottle, and a pair of socks (for those signing up for both events).
- Medals: Finisher Medals for all participants.
- Belt Buckles: Awarded to double 50K finishers!
- Aid Stations: Stocked with refreshments, including water and Gatorade.
Registration Costs
- Series Registration: $125 through September 30: $150 from October 1 to November 30: $165 from December 1 through Race #1.
- Individual Event Registration: $65 through September 30: $70 from October 1 to November 30: $85 from December 1 to Race #1.
- Note: No refunds or bib transfers for all events.
Packet Pick Up
- January Event: January 9-10 at Fleet Feet Sports (1270 E Powell Rd, 43035).
- February Event: February 13-14 at Fleet Feet Sports (1270 E Powell Rd, 43035).
- Race Day: Packet pickup begins at 7 AM at the race site.
Parking and Course Details
- Parking: Available in the lots surrounding the start/finish area.
- Course: A mix of single-track trail featuring rocks, roots, and potential water crossings.
- Loop Structure: The course consists of two 10K loops run in a figure-eight pattern.
- Trail Etiquette: Please stay on marked trails to protect the ecosystem.
