Where the Pavement Ends Trail Races are set for Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Race Options

• Single Loop: 4.25-mile course begins at 7:30 AM.
• Double Loop: 8-miler (approximate double loop) begins at 7:00 AM.
• Location: Starts and ends at Lake Windwing ballfields in Ridgefield, CT.
• Course Terrain: Runs through the Hemlock Hills/Pine Mountain open space areas. It's technical, rocky, and sublime.

Experience Level

• Recommendation: If you are not an experienced trail runner, we recommend choosing the 4.25-mile course.
• Preparation: Make sure to train for the unique challenges of a trail race.
• Enjoyment: Experience the beauty of nature while competing.
• Safety: Be prepared for technical sections and varying terrain.
