Sidewalk Shuffle 5K

🕛 Start Time

• Time: 12:00 P.M.

👶 Ages

• Eligibility: 6 and older—family-friendly!
• Accessibility: Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.

🏁 Course

• Location: The race will start and finish at the Lakewalk at Endion Station.
• Route: The course is an out and back, heading East up the shore along the Lakewalk.

🚶‍♀️ Participants

• Self-placement: Please place yourselves appropriately at the starting line based on whether you will be walking, shuffling, running or rolling.
• Runners: Please place yourselves closer to the front.
• Walkers, Shufflers, or Rollers: Please place yourself closer to the mid or back of the starting line.

🏆 Awards and Race Results

• Ceremony: Award Ceremony will take place between 12:45-1:15 p.m.
• Results: Results will be posted on the Duluth Y website, www.duluthymca.org/programs/events/sidewalk-shuffle, www.northlandrunner.com, and www.duluthtimingandevents.com.

🥇 Award Categories

• Youth: 1st Place Youth (6-12) Male & Female
• Teen: 1st Place Teen (13-17) Male & Female
• Adults: 1-3rd place Adult (18+) Male & Female
• Teams: 1st place Teams Male & Female, Co-Ed Team. Team results will be based on the 4 fastest finishers of each team: co-ed teams must have at least 2 people of the opposite gender on the team. Maximum of 5 Shufflers per team.

🅿️ Parking

• Arrival: Please allow yourself time to park and to get to the start before the race start.
• Recommendation: The Y strongly suggests that you park at one of the nearby ramps and that you walk to the start line.
• Validation: Shufflers will receive free parking validation with proof of running bib for the Holiday Inn Ramp or 4th Avenue Auto Park, validation will be available at the welcome table.

⚠️ Race Cancellation or Alteration Policy

• Safety: Here at the Y, we want to do our very best to ensure the safety of our program participants.
• Cancellations: If the weather poses a danger to runners, the Y upholds the right to cancel the Sidewalk Shuffle.
• No Refunds: There will not be any refund or credits given in the event the race is canceled due to weather conditions.
• Notification: The YMCA will notify participants through email, the Duluth Area Family YMCA website, and social media as soon as a decision has been made.
