About the Race
Description: Join us for our 2nd annual Milton Youth Tri!
Goal: The Milton Youth Tri is designed to promote youth fitness, confidence, and community spirit in Milton!
Funding: Funds raised from this event will go towards supporting youth with grants to participate in other athletic opportunities.
Competition Level: This event is NOT structured as a highly competitive race! It's the perfect event for a kid's first triathlon experience.

Encourage: Healthy, active lifestyles among youth
Build: Confidence and determination in young athletes
Create: An inclusive community sporting event
Inspire: The next generation of athletes
Promote: Family engagement in fitness activities
Participation Details
Ages: Open to youth ages 5-12
Events: Includes a Kids Run and a Triathlon!
Triathlon Details
Ages 5-9
Swim: 50 M (1 lap in the Milton High School pool)
Bike: 1 mile (1 lap around Schilberg Park)
Run: .4 miles (run from transition to the track + 1 loop on the track)
Ages 10-12
Swim: 150m (3 laps in the pool)
Bike: 3 miles (3 loops around Schilberg Park)
Run: ~1 mile (run from transition + 3 loops on the track)
Race Run Down!
Start: The triathlon will begin in the Lieder Family Pool at the Milton High School.
Transition: Athletes will exit the pool and follow the markers and volunteers to make their way to the front parking lot/transition.
Bike Course: Athletes will exit the parking lot and turn right onto High Street. Please note that High Street will be closed from Hilltop to John Paul to ensure the safety of the athletes.
Loop: Athletes will loop Schilberg Park in a clockwise loop: One loop for ages 5-9 and three loops for ages 10-12.
Finish: The finish line will be on the track!
Awards and Recognition
Participation: All triathlon participants will receive a t-shirt and a medal.
New Feature: Top three male and female finishers from each age group will receive awards in the triathlon!
Kids Run
Event Timing: The Kids Run will happen immediately after the last tri athlete crosses the finish line!
Course: Come run one loop around the outdoor track! Young kids (siblings of triathlon participants!), parents, and strollers are welcome.
Medals: All youth participants will receive a medal.
Community Celebration
After Party: There will be an after party on the track and a chance for families to celebrate the finishers!
