Join us on Saturday, September 13th 2025 for the 1st annual DNA Dash 5k run and fun walk presented by Tough Genes.

🌟 About Tough Genes

Founded by parents of a child with IRF2BPL-Related Disorder, Tough Genes is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and medical understanding of the IRF2BPL gene. Our mission is based upon raising awareness and funds for IRF2BPL-Related Disorder research. We strive to transform lives by driving breakthroughs in science, increasing awareness, and securing the resources necessary to find treatment and improve the quality of life for those impacted by this disorder. • In Person Timed Race: Participate and compete for awards!
• Fun Run/Walk: Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while supporting a great cause.
• Virtual Run/Walk: Join from anywhere and get your race materials mailed!

🕒 In Person Race Schedule

• 9:00am: Packet Pickup Opens
• 9:50am: Welcome message
• 10:00am: Timed 5k race begins
• 10:05am: Fun run/walk 5k begins
• 11:30am: Awards Ceremony
• 12:00pm: Raffles Close and Drawings Begin

💵 Pricing

• Registration: $35 for those over age 10
• Race Day: $40 (race shirt not guaranteed)
• Preregister: Secure your t-shirt and lowest pricing!

🏆 Awards

• Overall Winner Prizes: Overall Male and Female for the 5k timed race (prizes subject to increase)
• Runner Up Prizes: Male and Female for the 5k timed race
• Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & up
• Award Ceremony: Held at 11:30 am, following the race

Note: Virtual participants are not eligible for awards.

📊 Results

Results will be live during the event and posted on the Run Signup page. The race is professionally timed by Second Sole Toledo Race Services.
