💰 Purpose and Funding
- Funds Generated: Proceeds from the race will support The Welcome Network's Welcome Homes & Resettlement Program for asylum seekers and refugees.
- Cost to Families: Funding one of the six families in the Welcome Homes costs between $15k-$18k per year.
- Support Provided: Resources such as rent/utilities, food/supplies, furnishings, case management, transportation, and volunteer coordination.
- Goal: To fund all six families in the Welcome Homes for the next year.

- In-Person Run/Walk 5K: Check-in begins at 8 AM | 5K Run/Walk starts at 9 AM (sharp).
- Virtual Run/Walk 5K: Participate anywhere, anytime and submit race times and pictures using The Welcome Run Virtual 5K Form.
- Kids' Fun Run: Check-in begins at 8 AM | Kids' run starts after the last 5K racer finishes.
- Inclusivity: Open to serious runners and walkers: strollers and kids are encouraged.
- Timing: The event will be timed by j3 Timing to ensure accuracy.
- Prizes: Awards for top finishers overall and in age-group categories.
- Atmosphere: A family-friendly event encouraging participation from all ages.
