Hawthorne 4-Hour Run

Event Overview

• New Event: -NEW event for 2027
• Date and Location: -Race is held at Hawthorne Park 500 Ackerman Drive Porter, Indiana 46304
• Participation: -Race will start at 8:30 am CENTRAL TIME. You will run a 1-mile loop as many times as possible for 4 hours.
• Aid Station: -Aid station will be inside the community center. You are welcome to grab some fuel and warm-up if it gets cold.

Race Details

• T-Shirt: -You will receive a limited-edition t-shirt (shirt design will be posted in the future). There are a limited number of t-shirts available once they are gone there gone. If that happens you will receive winter hat and gloves instead.
• Course Information: -The course is on town streets. The course is marked with flags and arrow signs at major turns. Link to route here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/56273236
• Community Impact: -The purpose Crazy Legs Race Series (CLRS) is to promote non-pavement/pavement races in the Northwest Indiana region through the development and management of new and existing races.
• Participation Inclusion: -The Crazy Legs Race Series welcomes and encourages participation in our events by all individuals regardless of their sexual orientation, biological sex, gender identity, or gender expression.

Land Acknowledgment

• Historical Context: -The Crazy Legs Race Series would like to begin by acknowledging that the land on which we host our races is the seized territory of the Miami, Shawnee, and Illinois Nations.
• Refugee History: -Refugees from other nations also resided in the area we use, including the Lenape (Delaware).
• Honoring Stewards: -We honor those who have stewarded this land throughout the generations.
