Participant Essentials
- Swag: Runners will receive a limited-edition long sleeve cotton shirt and winter hat and gloves: limited quantity available.
- Timing: Manual timing will be used: please wear your bib on the front of your shirt.
- Aid Stations: One aid station will be available at the shelter with water, Gatorade, and other packaged snacks.
- Cut-Off: A 4 hour and 30 minute cut-off for the race will be enforced.
Course Information
- Loops: The course consists of 4 loops around the park, each loop being 3.4 miles long.
- Trail Conditions: As of August 11, 2026, current dirt trails may be subject to closure: updates will be provided closer to race day.
- Course Markings: The course will be marked with flags, arrow signs, and survey tape: please follow the markings.
- No Aid on Course: Participants will have access to their cars during loops: no additional aid will be available on the course.
Awards and Prizes
- Winners: Overall winners will receive a Yeti figure and a Starbucks gift card.
- Prize Table: All finishers can choose an item from the prize table, which may include old race shirts, mugs, and hats.
- No Awards Ceremony: There will be no formal awards ceremony.
- Fun Atmosphere: The Crazy Legs Race Series promotes a low-key environment for all participants.

- Participation: The Crazy Legs Race Series welcomes all individuals regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
- Registration: Transgender participants may register according to their identified gender without documentation.
- Land Acknowledgment: We honor the Miami, Shawnee, and Illinois Nations, as well as other indigenous groups who have stewarded the land.
- Community Commitment: The goal is to promote non-pavement/pavement races in the Northwest Indiana region.
