Date: 2027-05-24
Location: 8507 E 137th Ave, Hebron, IN
Race Details
- Start Time: 8:00 am Central. Race held at Stoney Run Park, 9230 E 142nd Ave, Hebron, IN 46341.
- Timing Method: Old school timing: you will receive a stick once you finish, please turn that stick in ASAP.
- Participant Perk: All runners will receive a water bottle for signing up.
- Aid Station: There will be an aid station with water and Gatorade a little past mile 3. Please bring your hydration system if you need more fluids.
Trail Conditions
- Expectations: There may be mud, bugs, and a pond crossing at the end. Please bring extra clothes to change into after the race.
- Bug Spray Recommendation: I would recommend bug spray as the trails contain standing water in some places.
- Detour Option: If you do not wish to run through the pond, you can take the detour which will add about 0.10 of a mile to your total distance.
- Post-Race Refreshments: Water, Gatorade, and snacks will be available after the race.
Awards and Recognition
- Awards Ceremony: There will be no formal awards ceremony. Overall male, female, and top three in each age group will receive medals when they turn in their stick.
- Contact Information: If you have any questions, please e-mail me at [email protected].
Event Mission
The purpose of the Crazy Legs Race Series (CLRS) is to promote non-pavement/pavement races in the Northwest Indiana region through the development and management of new and existing races. At all our events, you will experience fun and challenging course design in a low-key atmosphere. Races will be held in parks or areas in Lake, Porter, and Laporte counties.
Inclusivity Statement
The Crazy Legs Race Series welcomes and encourages participation in our events by all individuals regardless of sexual orientation, biological sex, gender identity, or gender expression. Transgender runners may register as the gender they identify with and no documentation is needed.
Land Acknowledgment
The Crazy Legs Race Series would like to begin by acknowledging that the land on which we host our races is the seized territory of the Miami, Shawnee, and Illinois Nations. Refugees from other nations also resided in the area we use, including the Lenape (Delaware). We honor those who have stewarded this land throughout the generations.
