About this race
Event Overview
Race starts at 8:00 am and ends at 6:00 pm.
Chupacabra, in Latin American popular legend, is a monstrous creature that attacks animals and consumes their blood. The name is derived from the Spanish words chupar (“to suck”) and cabra (“goat”) and can be translated as “goat-sucker.” As a fearsome but probably nonexistent creature, the chupacabra has been characterized as the southern equivalent of the Sasquatch.
This endurance event just might “chupar” the life of you. Please join us if you dare!

Rules
- Loop Duration: We will start the clock every hour: you have one hour to finish that loop.
- Loop Distance: The loop is about 4.1-mile length. Due to the storm damage that occurred on August 11, 2026, we are unable to use the trail system in 2026. Our hope is that we will be back on the dirt trail system in 2027.
- Disqualification: If you don’t finish the loop in one hour, you are OUSTED from the race!
- Final Loop: Save your strength, as we determine winners by who runs the final loop the fastest.
No Pacers
No human or animal pacers allowed. Violating this rule results in a DQ.
Start/Finish Area
There is room for you to set up your own crew station at the shelter. Gatorade, water, and snacks will be provided.
Prizes
- Chip System: You receive chips ONLY after you completed 4 loops.
- Loop Completion: Complete 4, 5, or 6 loops to receive a red chip for each loop completed.
- More Loop Completion: Complete 7, 8, or 9 loops to receive a blue chip for each loop completed.
- Prize Redemption: You can use those chips to turn into the prize tables. Each table will have a tablecloth corresponding with the color of the poker chip.
The Red Chip table has shirts, coffee mugs, and other items from the previous Crazy Legs Race Series events. The Blue Chip table has various items and contains free entries for Crazy Legs Race Series events.
