Join Race the Region and the Old Sheriff's House Foundation for a fun and exciting 5K run/walk through the heart of Crown Point, Indiana. This fall event offers participants a chance to experience a flat, scenic route along beautiful, tree-lined Main Street, perfect for both competitive runners and casual walkers alike.

Race Details:

• Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.
• Location: Downtown Crown Point, Indiana
• Course: The 5K route begins in front of the historic Old Sheriff's House and Jail, a site listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
• History: The Old Sheriff's House and Jail was once considered one of Indiana's finest and most secure jails. However, on March 3, 1934, the infamous gangster John Dillinger made a daring escape from this very jail, defying its reputation as "escape-proof."

Participant Perks:

• Race Shirts: Available for participants who register by October 25 (limited quantities available after this date).
• Finisher's Medal: All participants will receive a finisher’s medal to commemorate their race.
