Adventure Awaits 5k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Hosted by: The Scouting America (formally known as Boy Scouts of America)- Great Falls Council.
• Participants: Serving 5,373 youth council wide with six districts, including Winding Rivers District in Bradford County.
• Focus: Promotes physical, mental, and emotional development while fostering a lifelong love of learning and adventure.
• Race Venue: Beautiful Round Top Park overlooking the Valley below in Athens Township, Pennsylvania.

👟 Event Details

• Date: August 30, 2025.
• Open To: All ages: no need to be a runner to participate.
• Activities: Great opportunity for Scouts, avid runners, and families to enjoy the outdoors and support the Scouting program.
• Timing: Race is chip-timed by Falcon Race Timing.

📋 Registration Information

• Location: Prerace packet pick up at Athens Township office parking lot on August 29th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
• Day of Event: Packet pick up from 7:00 am to 7:45 am: Race starts at 8:30 am.
• Fees: Early registration through RunSignup is $25: registration at packet pick up is $30 (cash or checks only).
• Water Stops: At least one water stop along the race provided by local Scouts.

🏆 Awards Ceremony

• Categories: Age group awards for men’s and women’s categories (8-12, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
• Overall Winners: Special prize for top Man and Woman overall.
• Ceremony Time: Awards ceremony shortly after the race.

👶 Kids Fun Run

• Eligibility: Ages 2-10 are welcome to participate.
• Distance: Kids will run about 400 meters.
• Start Time: Kids fun run at 8:15 am.
• Prizes: Every kid participating will receive a prize.
