K-State Homecoming Philanthropy 5K and Virtual 5K Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️ K-State Homecoming Philanthropy 5K

Join fellow Wildcats and friends for the 2025 K-State Homecoming Philanthropy 5K. The K-State Alumni Association will host both an in-person and virtual 5K.

As K-Staters continue a great tradition of giving back to our community, proceeds for this year's virtual 5K run/walk will benefit Be Able. Be Able is a community resource that exists to engage with those in adversity by creating connections, cultivating skills and opening doors of opportunity.

👕 T-shirt Registration

• Guaranteed T-shirt: T-shirt is guaranteed if registered by Sep. 4 at 12 p.m. noon.
• No Refunds: No refunds will be given for any 5K registration or shipping fees paid.

🏅 In-Person Information

The in-person 5K will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5 at the K-State Alumni Center. Prizes are awarded for first through third in four categories: non-student male, non-student female, male student, and female student. All students participating in the group competition must be in-person.

• Packet Pick-Up: Non-student and students (not in a group) can pick up your packet Friday, Oct. 3 from 2-5 p.m. or on Sunday from 8-8:30 a.m. before the race.

🖥️ Virtual Information

The virtual 5K is open to non-students and students (excluding groups) and must be registered by 9 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5. You can register through this site or call the K-State Alumni Association at 785-532-6260.

• Event Duration: Enjoy a 3.1-mile walk, jog, or run at a place, pace, and time of your choosing between Sunday, Oct. 5 through noon on Sunday, Oct. 12, and share your results.
• Results Compilation: We will compile virtual results separate from the results of the in-person race.
• No Prizes: There are no prizes for the virtual run/walk.
• Packet Mailing: All virtual registrations paying for shipping will be mailed the week of September 29.
• Packet Pick-Up: If you choose not to have your packet shipped, you must pick up your packet on Friday, Oct. 3 from 2-5 p.m. or the morning of the race at the K-State Alumni Center.
