Race Overview

Centreville Bank Thompson Turkey Trot 5k Trail Race &: 3k Walk will be on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at the West Thompson Dam in Thompson, CT. Join us for Thompson's annual cross country run or walk. Open to all ages. Under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Events

• 5K Trail Run: Timed run - No Dogs on 5K
• 3K Wobble: Untimed walk - Dogs Welcome!
• Kids' Fun Run: Free, 1/4 mile run for children ages 12 and under
• Costumes: Encouraged! Dress in festive Thanksgiving &: Turkey gear

Cost and Registration

• 5K Cost: $25/person (includes t-shirt if registered before 10/31/26)
• 3K Cost: $25/person (includes t-shirt if registered before 10/31/26)
• Day of Registration: $30 cash or check
• Online Registration Closes: November 7, at 6:00 PM

Awards

• Overall Awards: Top male and female runners
• Age Group Awards: Top three male and female runners in each age group
• Team Awards: Award to team with the most members
• School Awards: Award to school with the most members

General Information

• Rain or Shine: The event will take place regardless of weather
• Check-in Time: Begins at 8:30 AM
• Start Times: 3K at 9:45 AM, 5K at 10:00 AM
• Free for Children: Ages 12 & under (unless wishing to purchase a T-shirt)

Location/Directions

The race/walk is held at West Thompson Dam Overlook Shelter in Thompson, CT.

• Directions: From north or south, Route 395, exit 50, turn onto Rte. 200 East.
• Follow: Follow to stop sign, turn right onto route 193.
• Continue: At stop light, continue straight onto West Thompson Road.
• Arrival: Go over the dam: Thompson Dam Overlook Shelter gate will be the 1st right after the Army Corps garage parking lot.
